For 12 days, I will share a short DIY tutorial with you that you can fully customize to your style and hopefully even use materials you already have at home!
Day 8 of the Christmas craft series is a festive paper garland!
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
SCRAPBOOK PAPER | CONSTRUCTION PAPER | PENCIL | SCISSORS | YARN | NEEDLE OR HOLE PUNCH | PUSH PIN/NAIL/TAPE
HOW TO
- Make a Christmas tree-shaped template.
- Trace this template onto various scrapbook and construction paper. I used patterns that were only black and white!
- Cut out as many trees as you need for your desired size garland. I used 55 trees for mine; 11 strands with 5 trees on each.
- When you have all of your trees cut out, use a hole punch or needle to thread pieces of yarn vertically through the top and bottom.
- Hang the strands up by tying the top end of yarn to a nail or push pin.
- To keep the paper from blowing and spinning, add a small piece of tape to the back of the bottom tree to keep is against the wall.
- Enjoy your new, festive Christmas garland!
