As I was browsing through Pottery Barn’s Halloween shop last year, I came across their Terracotta Skull Bucket and have been wanting to make my own version ever since. It’s the perfect decor to leave out all season and a fun statement piece for parties and trick or treaters.
With a few supplies, you can recreate this for your home in just one afternoon!
Supplies
SKULL BUCKET | SPRAY PRIMER | TEXTURE SPRAY PAINT
How to
Step 1 | Find a skull shaped bowl or bucket. The candy dish I use in this DIY is the perfect size and holds a medium sized bag of candy.
Step 2 | Using a light-colored primer, coat the entire skull 1-2 times. Make sure to cover all angles.
Step 3 | Next, use a textured spray paint and once again make sure to cover the skull from all angles. You may need to do several coats. Allow the entire thing to dry for about 24 hours before heavy use.
That’s it! An incredibly simple DIY to make a fun entertaining piece for your home!
