It’s almost Easter, which means it’s time to start decorating eggs!
I love dyeing eggs every year, so this time around I thought it would be fun to try something a little different.
I found some wooden eggs at the thrift store and wanted to create something simple but cute. After a little brainstorming, I came up with the idea of painting a scallop design on them! How cute, right!?
This project only took about an hour and a half to decorate 12 eggs, making it the perfect afternoon DIY!
What you will need
WOOD EGGS | CRAFT PAINT | PAINT BRUSH | PENCIL | EGG CARTON

How to
- Use a pencil to trace an even line around your egg. I used a small container to help balance my pencil and ensure I was tracing a consistent line all the way around.
- Next, draw a scallop design — or half circles — using the line you just made. It doesn’t have to be perfect!
- Now it’s time to paint! I picked five colors total and just used basic acrylics from the craft store.
- As you finish each egg, place them in an egg carton to help them dry without smudging the paint.
- That’s it! Now you can decorate with your adorable scalloped Easter eggs!
