When I started selling on Poshmark almost a year ago, I had no idea where to even start when it came to packaging. It seemed like a huge expense to invest in different size boxes and mailers, even at only a couple dollars a piece. Luckily, I did a ton of research and learned that USPS offers free packaging supplies!
As a Poshmark seller, you can use any Priority Mail packaging, including Regional Rate and Flat Rate packaging, through zones of local and 1 through 8. This gives you a ton of box size options to choose from!
If you are selling on a different platform or though your own business site, keep in mind that there are different rates and requirements to send mail through Priority Regional Rate, Flat Rate, Express or International.
So, save yourself some serious money on packaging costs and follow the steps below to order your free shipping supplies.
How to order free supplies on USPS.com
Step 1
Go to USPS.com.
Step 2
From the menu, select Shop and Shipping Supplies.
Step 3
Use the filter to select Free Shipping Supplies and Priority Mail.
Browse through all of your options! You will see supplies for regular Priority Mail, Regional Rate, Flat Rate and Priority Express. The packaging you use will need to match the type of postage you are paying for, otherwise you could run into additional fees or delays at the post office.
Step 4
Select a product to view dimensions, quantities and any other information. Most items are sold in pre-bundled packs (typically 10 or 25), which you can then multiply the quantity. For example, if you wanted to order 50 boxes, you would select a Pack of 25 and choose a quantity of 2.
Step 5
Once you add everything you need to your cart, you are ready to check out! Create a free account or check out as a guest. As long as you are only ordering free supplies, your entire order including shipping will be $0.
